The objective
The new Velvet Ink lipstick was a big 2020 success for Bourjois. By releasing their new mask-resistant range, the iconic cosmetics brand wanted to promote it on TikTok along with another well-known product; the Fabulous Lip Gloss. The objective: to attract the attention of a large young and beauty-loving audience and test TikTok as a conversion lever.
The solution
The beauty brand was able to count on Sleeq, which was involved in the launch of Bourjois' TikTok advertising campaigns for its two products that are very familiar to the platform.
Our agency was responsible for opening the TikTok account, in direct contact with the TikTok France teams, and for setting up the campaigns. Sleeq's expertise was requested in order to optimise the campaigns to generate purchases on the website. One of the challenges consisted of setting the parameters of the pixel and the events on the Bourjois website sufficiently to bring up the purchase information and allow the algorithm to optimise its audience targeting accordingly.
Results
In the end, the campaigns generated an increase in sales of almost 146% for the Fabulous Gloss product range. Conversions were also 3 to 4 times higher than for similar beauty products, according to feedback from TikTok teams.
